The staff was kind and always ready to help if needed. Friendly environment
The fact that even if they were advertising themselves as caring for the environment, every day after cleaning the room they were leaving all the lights on and if the guest returns in the evening...imagine the useless consumption of electricity...
The staff was amazing and incredibly helpful during our stay. Our flight had been canceled due to volcano eruption, and they did everything they could to help us secure alternate arrangements. Sandy, the man at reception, was very nice and welcoming. We would definitely return.
Too far a walk from the city center (about 3 miles), but close to the University.
Good rooms, friendly staff, well placed location, pleasant atmosphere
Lack of dinner service
The location of the hotel worked out quite well for us and it was a reasonable price. We were able to park nearby and had access to museums, etc. although we did use taxi service to get downtown. Room was a reasonable size and relatively quiet. Beds were comfortable.
We were on the lower level and the shower had drainage issues. The pump that went on for either water service or drainage was very loud, which was somewhat irritating.
The hotel is located near the university and a number of cultural attractions, which is good.
The hotel is one of many on the street, a sort of hotel row. The internet access was very spotty and therefore frustrating to me. The hotel is ordinary and for the price not especially great. I stayed at many other wonderful hotels in Scotland for less or same. There is a scuzzy quality to much of the immediate area--something students lodgers tolerate, but less atrtractive to me. I would not stay there again.
The location. I was visiting my son in Partick and the kelvingrove was close. It is also close to the Kelvingrove museum and the Hunterian. The streets around the hotel have free parking at the weekend.
kind welcome and good location for local ammenities
It feel wet at ground level
Everything! Staff friendly and extremely helpful, room beautiful, food gorgeous, lovely decor.
Furniture and shower looking a bit tired
Very friendly and helpfull staff, very clean and very good price.
Convenience for visiting Kelvingrove gallery nearby, and convenience of access to Glasgow sCentral Station during a short overnight stay.
Basement rooms and plain but adequate breakfast room, though service at breakfast was good
Excellent location and value. Good breakfast.
Bathroom rather dusty at bottom of walls and toe nail clippings on bathroom floor. A pity because otherwise very good accomodation in good location.
The receptionist was very friendly & helpful ordered taxi s for our trips to cocert hall (SECC),to the train station (George Square),stayed the one night and enjoyed every minute, will stay again when back in Glasgow,
Location was great. Close to beautiful park and museum. Road quiet enough even though also bus route. Brilliant restaurants within 200 yards.
Room was rather cramped for two singles.
